let me know if anyone is curious about conditions of the: lake fork, west fork, west bud, east bud, spread and/or phantom creek; for these are the places i have been recently.

I am interested about the conditions of the water flows out of the east bud lake and is there any fishing to be had? Also how far up the trail before running into substantial snow?

way to call me on it...

i was over on the east bud, june 15th-17th, where consistent daytime temps in the mid 70's were only a precursor for the following five, which seemed to average another handful warmer yet.

that said, recent past is now ancient history, so i'd image that all major flowing waterways are brown and raging; and that one could reasonably hike tennis shoes up to Rainbow Lake of the main drain, conversely still encountering deep snow en route to others such as Sylvan.

regardless, we're both well aware of the world class fishery collectively known as the beartooth, so anything in the ballpark of ~8500' on the east side of the divide should be open and still fishing well (ie. Hellroaring lakes, Keyser Brown, Gertrude, Island Lake...

it was cool to check out the Clark's Fork today. BIG!
