Long ski traverses are where it’s at. Although a genuinely serious undertaking, today’s hi-tech equipment will make it seem far tamer than the hardships faced by people such as the local Native Americans or other early explorers. It’s all relative, as people have been quietly putting together this sort of thing (all over the world) for the past 40 years. So why not allocate a mere 3 months of one’s life to such a worthy, backyard cause; for the Greater Yellowstone is undoubtedly world class.

If you ski from Red Lodge to Jackson that's the gnarliest thing I've ever heard of. That's like swimming the english channell or some shit.
